The new restaurant ‘Lumen’ has opened

During the construction period, the kitchen team worked with top chef Markus Lorbeck to create new dishes. The new LUMEN offers a modern brasserie-style dining experience: casual, creative and high-quality, with a cosmopolitan touch.

However, the patisserie remains a key element of the concept: in the newly designed sales area of the Kurcafe patisserie, visitors can look forward to a tempting selection of products, 100 per cent of which are made in-house. The range extends from artistically crafted tarts and delicate cakes to hand-made chocolates and fine pralines. Just in time for the warmer months, the range is also being expanded to include homemade ice cream creations.

What makes it special is that you can not only choose from the sweet specialities on the spot, but also enjoy them straight away in the stylish surroundings of LUMEN – thus delightfully combining the art of patisserie with modern gastronomy.

One of the LUMEN’s architectural highlights is particularly evident on warm days: the wide glass front can be opened wide, creating a seamless transition to Prinzregentenplatz – almost like an open-air urban square. On hot days, a modern air-conditioning system ensures pleasant temperatures inside, so that guests can enjoy a comfortable atmosphere whatever the season.
