Forest adventure is boundless between Bavaria and Tyrol

A natural experience without borders, where once the striking tree separated! Here one can experience the forest in its most primordial form and understand what benefits this has for nature.

Since 2002 one has been able to explore the forest of habitats between the river Lech and the steep slopes of the Allgäu mountain forest, both on the German and on the Austrian soil - because nature knows no boundaries! The informative exhibitions and a diverse outdoor area invites all the senses to discover a new one in the forest, nature and mountains and to learn more about it!

The new attraction in Füssen makes the view over the upper tree regions, the parallel flowing Lech and not least the surrounding mountain world possible above the forest playground.

The visitors of the tree-crown path stroll at a lofty height on a Hanging bridge, which consists of 70 percent of wood and only 30 percent of steel. But beware! It varies slightly!

Here you will gain insights into the fascinating world of tree tops and the flora and fauna of different forest types and tree species. There are spectacular views, thanks to the breathtaking location and high altitude development of the path. Not only the wild river landscape of the Lech can be admired, but also the view into the mountains and the foreland in Bavaria and Tyrol is possible.

The bridge is free of charge for children up to 16 years of age. This also applies to people with a handicap. Most of the way is accessible by wheelchair and thus can be experienced by everyone!
